I created an Android application allowing users to add items to their 'cupboards', edit them and also lookup recipes depending what ingrediants are
availible. The application utilises an SQL database for storing the items entered locally and uses the API food2fork to query and return then interperate the JSON results based on
the users preferences for ingrediants.
Whilst already having a reasonable knowledge of Java at the point of creating this project as well as back end development I needed to learn a few extra things to enable me to do my best in this task. Local SQL was a new concept to me but fairly easy to pick up likewise, parsing and API request was new to me in Java but with previous experiance I was able to learn this rather quickly.
Languages used: Java and JSON.
Software used: Android Studio, food2fork API, SQLite.
